​WHAT IS TEACH？TEACH is an internship program operated by MindXplorer Education Association, LLC in Beijing, China. The program seeks enthusiastic, motivated, talented candidates to act as an English language teaching support in Beijing public schools. TEACH seeks candidates of ALL majors, backgrounds and experiences. Absolutely NO English teaching or Mandarin experience is required!WHY TEACH?Classroom-based Teaching OpportunitiesTravel to Beijing and Explore ChinaChinese Host Family ExperienceLife Time Oriental ConnectionRecommendation Letter from MindXplorerWHERE?Where will you teach?During program period, you will be assigned to a public school (elementary, junior high or senior high) to act as the teaching assistants in the school. Generally you are required to remain on-site during the full school day.Where will you live in china?The housing option is a home-stay accommodation with a local volunteering Chinese family. The family may have a child attending the same school as you. The family is very interested in foreign culture and would like to share the Chinese hospitality and culture with you.WHO CAN JOIN THE PROGRAM AND HOW?QualificationsWe welcome a diverse pool of applicants representing a wide range of backgrounds and training.18-28 years old   speak fluent English   have a positive attitude and enjoy trying new thingsGPA: 2.5 or above   English teaching or Mandarin skills: No requirementsApplication ProceduresThe applicants need to fill out the application forms and send them to MindXplorer.○ MindXplorer will contact the selected candidates for interview appointment.○ After passing the interview, the applicants will receive a program welcome letter from MindXplorer.○ The applicants need to sign the program agreement to confirm your participation.○ MindXplorer will send the official invitation letter to you for your visa application.○ MindXplorer will arrange your placement in public schools and host families.○ You are required to purchase your own air tickets and insurance according to the program schedule.○ MindXplorer will send the school and host family placement forms to you before your arrival.○ The host family and MindXplorer will pick up you at the airport.WHEN?This program runs from May 25th to June 30th.Program registration opens from August 1st to March 31st.MINDXPLORER MANAGEMENT:○ Program application + handbook○ Visa consulting○ Host family placement○ Public School placement○ Airport pickup○ Program orientations○ 7*24 hours emergency support hotline○ Support service for you, public schools and host families○ Organization of cultural activities, farewell party, etc.Q and A1. WHAT DOES THE CHINESE HOST FAMILY PROVIDE FOR YOU?The host family will provide the lifetime experience of a beneficial cultural immersion.There are many benefits to the host family: full language and cultural awareness, authentic home-cooked meals and a supportive network. Well-versed in any knowledge of China and Beijing, host families can guide you to experience the real China as a local. Most importantly, you can establish a life-long connection with your host families.3. WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?○ During the program, you will act as teaching assistants to the Chinese lead teachers. Generally you are required to remain on-site during the full school day and follow the school’s teaching plan and guidance.○ You are encouraged to communicate with host family members and help with some household chores as a real family member would do.○ Your need to keep close contact with MindXplorer staff if you should have any problems or concerns about your school work and family life.5. WHAT IF YOU GET SICK?You need to purchase your own travel insurance before coming to China, and the host family or MindXplorer staff will take you to the hospitals if you need to see a doctor and help with the insurance claim.NoteWith MindXplorer, teaching and living in Beijing will not be a problem!
